Autism-Informed Care Training Series

Training Series Overview

The Autism-Informed Care Training Series equips helping professionals with a developmentally grounded, neuro-affirming framework for understanding Autism and effectively responding to the needs of children and families with clarity and compassion. All training is delivered through an Autism-informed lens—one that honors neurodiversity, prioritizes safety and autonomy, and interprets behavior not as isolated symptom, but as meaningful adaptation linked to underlying developmental, sensory, cognitive, and relational needs.

This comprehensive six-part series integrates conceptual foundations, co-occurring complexity, relational engagement, needs assessment tools, safety planning, and systems-level advocacy. Participants leave with practical frameworks, usable tools, and evidence-informed strategies that support meaningful skill development while honoring each child’s dignity and developmental needs. The series also examines historical and contemporary models that shape Autism care, equipping professionals to thoughtfully navigate and advocate within systems where outdated or misaligned practices continue to influence support. The result is care that moves beyond surface-level behavior management toward deeper understanding and meaningful connection.

Tender Roots Training Co. provides specialized Autism-informed clinical education for helping professionals who want to strengthen how they understand and support children and youth with Autism. Our work is grounded in compassionate, development-informed, neuro-affirming care. We prioritize safety and autonomy, and we approach behavior not as something to manage, but as meaningful communication shaped by underlying sensory, cognitive, emotional, and relational experiences.

Through structured training series, practical tools, and ongoing professional development, we help clinicians deepen insight, translate knowledge into practice, and develop a strengths-based, relationally attuned approach in their work with children and families.
