Autism-Informed Caregiver Training
The Autism-Informed Caregiver Training is designed for parents, grandparents, family members, foster parents, babysitters, and other caregivers supporting a child with Autism.
This one-session training offers practical guidance to help caregivers better understand and respond to their child’s needs while building connection in everyday moments. Participants develop a foundational understanding of Autism, including differences in communication, sensory processing, and nervous system needs, along with support for navigating safety concerns and more complex presentations.
Caregivers also receive guidance in navigating systems such as school and IEP processes, disability services, and available supports, along with a curated Toolkit of resources for continued learning and next steps.
Grounded in a developmentally informed, neuro-affirming framework, this training supports clear, responsive, and relationship-centered approaches—honoring neurodiversity, prioritizing safety and autonomy, and understanding behavior as meaningful communication shaped by underlying needs.
